I read this a long time ago and remembered bits of it for years. I was very glad to find it on Kindle.
This is a novel about a pacifist who is recruited to infiltrate a group that is anything but. /Their/ plot involves staging a "diversion" which will fill up the UN and then blow the UN up, among other things. The protagonist's plot is to stay alive, especially as he is separated from all his spy equipment, bit by bit. Oh, and save his rather ditzy girlfriend.
The only problem is that the final slogan, which I presume was an image in the book, is not there. Although the text appears to be well-curated and has no obvious OCR problems, the lack of the final image is disappointing.

Early, but very good Westlake. If you've ever wished you had a super power to change the world, (for the good), you will enjoy this book.
The book was a "used" issue from a private owner in good condition, with little waiting time
for delivery. This book is a fun read which I read when it was originally issued and found on
line. I was happy to read it again. Mary Ann Arlotta
This was a funny and unusual story - just like all of Donald E. Westlake's stories. I have enjoyed all of his books. You never know what will happen next in the story plots!
The book arrived in short order and is in the conditioned advertised. And incidentally, it is a great read.
Creative writer with some good humor
This book is beautifully written. Fast paced, with lots of twists and turns. Terrifically crafted characters and settings. I won't mention the best aspect of the story; read it yourself to find out!
Very good book, not great like most of Westlake’s lighter books but very good. Helps if you have a little bit of a feel for 60s NY and protest movements. I would rate it 4 or 5 stars but for a strange typo/misprint. The last three words of the book are missing. Actually adds little to the book except to show the lead character’s consistency but still..... I pointed it out twice to but eh, nothing happened. Rather like NYC during the period the book is set in actually. Spoiler Alert! Next paragraph I contains the last three words......

The words on the protest sign reads “Ban the Bomb!” The original printed version had it set n a huge font or as an image. Somehow it didn’t carry over when the book was converted to an ebook.
